Concessions are a strategic sector for Astaldi Group offering considerable development potential, not only in Italy but also abroad. The main areas of interest are healthcare construction (where the group has already acquired significant experience), transport infrastructures and the mobility and car parks sector. It is also involved in foreign projects in the water sector. Over 25% of the consolidated orders backlog at 31 December 2007 referred to concession or project finance initiatives which amounted to a total EUR 2.1 billion.
This project refers to the construction and subsequent management using the project finance formula of four hospitals in Tuscany located in Massa, Lucca, Pistoia and Prato.
