Poland represents one of the “new scenarios” in Astaldi’s development policies. An area where the Group has been operating for only a few years, but where it has achieved great success, demonstrating its ability in placing itself at the centre of the international scene as a high quality contractor, including in extremely competitive situations.
As far as Astaldi is concerned, its Polish experience with regard to operations got underway in 2009, with significant commercial success in the transport infrastructures sector.
The Group has an operating office in Poland, which is responsible for business development , coordination and management. Currently, Astaldi is involved in performing three major contracts in progress in that Country: the prestigious Line 2 of the Warsaw underground (the forerunner for the acquisition of subsequent projects), upgrading of the NR8 National Road and the Minsk Mazowiecki bypass.
As regards the future, further opportunities have been identified in the transport infrastructures sector, including in light of the major investments expected at a local and European Union level to encourage the country’s economic growth.
